Anna Jordan was born in Hungary in 1986. After an isolated childhood she decided at the age of 18 to leave her family home. In 2004 she started to study Business Economics. During this time she used to sneak in to the University of Fine Arts of Pécs where she learnt the traditional practices of painting.
After the successful graduation with a bachelors degree of economics she moved to Budapest in 2008 and attended the painting course of János Szilágyi. In 2009 she became an active member of the „Keleti Blokk“ art community, and moved into her first atelier in their building. Here she started got interested in music to which people started referring to as „Anna Jordan Project“. An artist name she kept until today.
In 2009 she visited the Vernon Mill Studios and participated in the annual exhibition.
In 2010, at the age of 24, she moved from Hungary to Berlin, where she discovered the former art community Kunsthaus Tacheles. She got the opportunity to use a corner in „Welturlaub“, where she began to broaden her artistic perspective with soldering and light installations.
In 2011 she got a possibility from the Dirk Hermann Foundation to use an atelier at the legendary Funkhaus Berlin, where she made her biggest painting series „The Muscle Man“ with 23 impressively sized canvases.
In 2011 she began to work increasingly with digital media. Since 2013 more and more digital artworks appear in her portfolio, and her interest grew in digital photography, digital painting, design, mixed media and other art forms.
In 2015 she took up another artistic name The Allegorist to express her auditive visions. Simultaneously she started a two-year training program as an audio engineer and sound designer.
The Allegorist is a comprehensive electronic music project with a holistic approach based on musical storytelling. It stands for an imaginative journey through all ages, for a better future. The project mixes all styles and genres and sets no limitations. Every great idea is welcomed and included into the mindset of a diverse unity. The Allegorist sings in the fictional and majestic Mondoneoh language, to connect all nations and honor all our ancestors.
In 2017 Anna Jordan began working simultaneously on music and video production, which resulted in her latest audio-visual works for her second album „Hybrid Dimension I.“ This album was released on the 27th of July 2018 at Detroit Underground, Los Angeles.
