Anna Jordan uses the pseudonym Anna Jordan Project for her visual artworks since 2004.

In 2015 she took up another artistic name The Allegorist to express her auditive visions.

She is working as an electronic music producer, composer, visual artist, painter and sound designer.

Her multi-perspective art combines different media, genre and styles formed by thinking in a transdisciplinary way.

BIO

Anna Jordan was born in Hungary in 1986. In 2004 she started to study Business Economics. During this time she used to sneak into the University of Fine Arts of Pécs where she learnt the traditional practices of painting. After the successful graduation she moved to Budapest in 2008 and attended the painting course of János Szilágyi. In 2009 she became an active member of the „Keleti Blokk“ art community. She got interested in music to which people started referring to as „Anna Jordan Project“. An artist name she kept until today. 

 

In 2010 Anna Jordan  moved to Berlin. At "Welturlaub" in the former art community Kunsthaus Tacheles she was working on light installations, later she moved her atelier to the legendary Funkhaus Berlin. In 2011 she began to work increasingly with digital media.

 

In 2015 she took up another artistic name The Allegorist to express her auditive visions and graduated in a two-year training program as an audio engineer and sound designer.

 

The Allegorist is a comprehensive electronic music project with a holistic approach based on musical storytelling.

In 2016 her debut album „Botanical Utopia“ was released at the greek label „Kraak Records“. In 2017 Anna Jordan began working simultaneously on music and video production, which resulted in her latest audio-visual works for her second album „Hybrid Dimension I.“,  released in 2018 at Detroit Underground, Los Angeles.

 

From the Hybrid Dimension I. collection the music video Humandroid Lovers was officially selected by the Hong Kong Arthouse Film Festival  and was screened at the Hong Kong Arts Centre in 2018 and by the Brussels Independent Film Festival which was screened in 2019. The music video Falling Astronaut was selected by the Berlin Sci-fi Filmfest.

 

An alumnus of Amplify Berlin, Anna Jordan worked as an artist in residence in January 2019 under the mentorship of Robert Lippok in Berlin.

In 2020 she worked as an artist at CTM Festival's art residency Musicmakers Hacklab ''Shapehifters''.
